9:00 a.m. A monarch
chrysalis was black and ready for a monarch butterfly to emerge. I had to leave
for an appointment. 1 p.m. Monarch butterfly had emerged. I didn’t see the adult
that day. The next day I saw a fresh and radiant monarch flying around the
property and suspect it was the same monarch that was born the day before.
