On a personal note, my friend Alena Hrabcakova, Art Therapist, Red Lake Reservation, Minnesota, home to the Red Lake Band of Chippewa, will graduate from the Center of Sacred Studies on April 17. I am very proud of her. Alena followed in my footsteps. She read my published article in Tribal Journal and decided to move from Ohio to work with tribal students and tribe after the tragic killings in the school several years ago. I am looking forward to her coming to Wisconsin in the summer of 2011. She will offer a Sacred Ceremony at the Hospitality House in Minong for women who come as sisters for the Sisterhood of the Planetary Water Rites. Alena will also visit the Monarch Butterfly Habitat in Shell Lake while here. I haven’t seen her since she first visited several years ago. We both have reached milestones this year. A reunion will be so lovely.
